In 2004 Sir Mike returned to tackle his
greatest adventure yet, a mission to the red planet...Mars!
Over the year the theatrical elements of the event were prepared and
during September and October the village was a hive of activity as
children created lanterns, adults crafted huge bizarre puppets. In the
second half of October work began on building a fifty foot rocket ship
ready for its launch on 24th October 2004.
Come the 24th the rain held off for the hour-long performance. Attendance
was good, with more people attending than last year even despite the mud
and rain, and a great time was had by all. |
